Here are some time management tips to help students get the most out of their time and to help relieve stress associated with the feeling of being rushed.

* Never think of your assignments as being too hard, instead think of them as being a challenge. If you think of them as being too hard then you can get bogged down in them and you can keep putting them off until the very last minute and find that you are rushed when it comes to completing them.

* Make sure that you arrange a timetable each week for your assignments and stick to it no matter what.

* Try to arrange your studies around any family commitments or commitments you have in your social life, this way you will be able to study and have time for yourself.

* Make sure that you understand the coursework or homework before you leave the classroom and if in doubt ask the tutor what is required.

* Read over textbooks and notes you have taken more than once, this way you will pick up things which you might have previously missed.

* Allow yourself around 3 hours every day to go over notes and study textbooks so that you are not doing it all at the last minute.

* Try to make it a point to attend as many lectures, workshops and seminars as you possibly can.

* Join a study group and work with friends.

* Always make sure you get a good balance between work and social life.

* Set a specific time per day to study each subject and study one subject each day.

* Never leave anything until the last minute.

* If you can manage your time effectively then you won't feel stressed and you are able to study without distractions.

* Makes sure that you include lots of shorts breaks in your schedule when studying, if you are studying for long hours at a time then you will tire yourself out and this leads to stress and when you are stressed you wont work efficiently.

* Always set yourself goals, by setting goals and sticking to them you will find that you get more done and enjoy doing it, examples for goals are reading specific books, making a presentation or writing essays.

* Make the most from the handbooks and guides that all universities and colleges provide students.

* Always try to keep on top of things by meeting your deadlines, this will make sure that your work doesn't build up and you have to do it all once and feel rushed, if you are rushed then you will make more mistakes.

* Make sure you allow time when making deadlines for going over your work before you have to hand it in, aim to have work completed before the day it has to be handed in and this will give you time to make any corrections you need to make.

* Be persistent in your studies and don't give up too easily, if you don't understand something at first then take your time and go over it again.

* Start your coursework as soon as you know what to do.

* Never be afraid to ask the tutor or lecturer at the end of lessons to go over any points which you are unclear on, you should never leave without knowing exactly what is expected of you.
